Auschwitz

This was one of my first views of Auschwitz after the famous entrance sign. My first thought, oddly enough, was "this looks like summer camp."

I expected it to be dirty, muddy, desolate... in other words everything it was when it was in operation, and the way it is portrayed in films. You forget that more than 60 years have passed since it closed.
